VILLA MOEN

At this modern villa, greening was incorporated into the architecture from the very first design phase. The integrated planters do not form a loose element around the house, but reinforce the horizontal lines and ensure that the façade blends more gently into the landscape.

Working with deeper planters and a semi-intensive to intensive structure creates space for a varied planting with compact bloomers, arching species and perennials that change in character through the seasons.

The right plant choices are decisive here. Overhanging planting brings movement to the clean architecture, while flowering accents and different growth forms provide depth and a natural balance around the house.

Choosing the right species, sufficient root space, irrigation and the ratio of volume to greenery will ultimately determine how natural and powerful the whole thing feels.
