Designed by CAS Architects and realised by Vice Verda, this patio shows how thoughtful technical construction and planting create a sustainable outdoor space in harmony with its surroundings.
Vice Verda was responsible for the technical construction and planting of this patio. The patio is the calm centrepiece of the house: simple, functional and sustainably designed. The high concrete walls create security, while the greenery softens the space and adds a natural layering.

Technical construction & materials
The base is built with FKD 10 of Optigrün, applied as a drainage layer. The walkable zones were constructed with a light, well-draining fill that provides stability and water permeability. The planting zones were given a richer substrate with sufficient depth for healthy growth, each tailored to their specific function within the overall structure. More information on technical layers and materials can be found on our page Intensive green roof - Vice Verda .
The result is a patio that exudes tranquillity through simplicity and precision.
