Functional and low-maintenance roof garden

Vice Verda was responsible for both preparation and implementation of this roof garden. In consultation with the client, a green roof with a mixed, intensive structure was chosen.

The roof structure allowed to work with different layers of substrate, allowing for varied planting. The layout consists of a central grass zone with closed sod, framed by zones with larger sedum species, ornamental grasses and ground covers.

The structure was technically tailored to the load-bearing capacity of the building, with adapted drainage layers, substrate types and edging.

So with the right roof structure and thoughtful design, you simply bring greenery upstairs.
